Dual Laminate System

Thermoplastics and FRP complements each other in the dual laminate system, which consists of manufacturing the product or accessories in thermoplastic material and coating the exterior with an FRP layer applied in systems and thicknesses according to the structural needs of each piece of equipment.

Thermoplastics such as PVC and CPVC have excellent chemical adherence to FRP, while other thermoplastics (HDPE, PP, PTFE) only adhere by using anchorage mechanical systems.

The main applications for this system are those where there is extreme abrasion and the combination of acid and temperature are also extreme. Dual Laminate is used in the cases where FRP polyester and epoxy vinyl ester resins resistance have limitations.
