The detail engineering and calculations of the segmented tank cover in FRP was developed by our Technical Department, requested by OUTOTEC (Outokumpu Technology).
LEPSA is proud of the manufacture of a TANK COVER for a REACTOR CLARIFIER Ø 22 m. The cover consists in 24 flanged segments. The calculation of these segments has been done using finite element programs.
FLUOR CHILE and OUTOTEC technical offices have been responsible of the supervision. Before deliver the cover was mounted and totally assembled in LEPSA facilities.

OUR BROAD EXPERIENCE IN THE MANUFACTURE OF LARGE DIAMETER AND CAPACITIES FRP TANKS IS CONFIRMED.
We have made two (02) FRP 300m3 TANKS of Ø 6.00 m for storage of HYDROCHLORIC ACID 33%. The tank was fabricated and transported from our Industrial Plant in Lurin to client facilities in three sections, and assembled in its final location Plant (Callao) for QUIMPAC S.A.
LEPSA IS PRESENT AT "CERRO LINDO" AND "PAMPA DE COBRE"(CHAPI) PROJECTS FOR MILPO.
LEPSA has conducted the manufacture, mounting and installation of storage and agitator tanks for both CERRO LINDO and CHAPI (Minera Pampa de Cobre) Projects.
LEPSA has fabricated the storage tanks, reactor tanks, pipes ducting, and has supplied from our representative company FEMOGLAS from Chile the FRP pultruded structural profiles and stairways, handrails, and grating.
We took care of the on site mounting and installations, according to the schedules.
PRESSURIZED REACTOR TANK
Strict compliance with International Standards (RTP1 ASME, ASTM, and ANSI) for the manufacture of FRP products is reflected in their quality. We have manufactured a DISCOLORATION MID REACTOR TANK for the INTERNATIONAL company AJINOMOTO. This reactor operates at 40 PSI (designed at 45 PSI) and has been tested at 80 PSI. Tests were carried out at our facilities in presence of the customer, demonstrating high performance in the design and calculation of FRP equipments.
THE VALUE OF TRUST
LEPSA has been attending SOUTHERN PERU COPPER CORPORATION (SPCC), from the beginning of its activities. Working together with the consultant company, AKER KVAERNER CHEMETICS, we have participated in the NEW SULPHURIC ACID PLANT PROJECT for SPCC (ILO-PERU), manufacturing and installing FRP Ducts of Ø 104, 102, 96 and 94 inches for interconnection tanks. To satisfy our client and consultant company, we have accomplished the deadlines established for manufacturing and delivery of documented engineering.
SPCC commissioned to G&M contractor the 100% of the work of installing the FRP Ducts and Piping and LEPSA was subcontracted from them to do all the FRP ducting and piping field welds.
